With staff that are PRINCE2 trained and APM PMQ certified, IPE can be trusted to manage even the largest and most complex projects – ensuring budgets and timescales are met, change management and risks are fully evaluated, stakeholders kept fully informed, and the project is delivered within scope. Health and safety is a key part to our work, with risk assessments and method statements provided for on site works. All of our site leads are CITB SSSTS or SMSTS trained, and are first aid trained. We can also manage site CDM as appropriate. From bespoke wiring looms, to specialist studio equipment and large quantities of infrastructure hardware, IPE can procure hardware as required – whether as part of a large installation project, or on a supply-only basis. As we are independent, we aren’t tied to any particular suppliers or manufacturers, and will always work to secure the best available pricing for our clients. Working to the brief set by the client, IPE will produce system designs which fully meet the client’s requirements. This can range from high level designs which can be presented to key stakeholders for review, down to detailed AutoCAD system schematics, Excel cable schedules, and furniture and room layout plans. Where appropriate, we will work with other suppliers and manufacturers to design bespoke hardware and software solutions for your project. Our team has decades of experience in installing broadcast facilities. Be it wiring a gallery desk, fitting a brand new apparatus room with cabling, racks and equipment, or completing building wide fibre cabling. IPE has the resources available and skillsets required to complete all tasks to the highest standards. IPE owns two industrial units based near Royston in Hertfordshire, with 5000 square feet of production space. This includes a wiring workshop, test areas, secure storage, goods in and despatch, and a large pre-build and staging area. Wherever possible IPE will always prebuild and configure as much of the new system for acceptance before starting installation on site to de-risk the overall project. All installations are fully tested by our engineering team prior to handover to the client. With expertise in video and audio systems, IP and networking, and control systems, we can configure the most complex systems to ensure interoperability, functionality, and reliability. Where necessary, we will use the configuration specialists from hardware and software manufacturers, to ensure their systems are configured to their exact specifications. IPE can provide training on our newly installed systems. This can range from operational familiarity training for both engineers and operational staff, to full engineering training for facility engineers to be able to support their system for years to come. We can also provide manufacturer specific training on some systems where appropriate. IPE fully guarantee our installations for 12 months. We will also assist our clients with manufacturer provided support contracts. IPE can also offer extended support contracts for systems we install, with an ITIL compliant support portal for raising and tracking any support queries. With sustainability at the forefront of many companies goals, it is important to factor sustainability into project work, as it will ultimately impact on the environmental impact over the lifecycle of a product. Take for example IPE, as a supplier. We are ISO 14001 certified, which means we manage and audit areas of our business to monitor and improve our environmental performance. This can include simple actions, such as re-using packaging where possible, and recycling when re-use is no longer possible. We actively encourage our employees to work from home where appropriate, to reduce emissions associated with travelling to the office. We log data for CO2 emissions whilst travelling for projects and identify whether it would be suitable and more efficient to use trains rather than planes. We can also advise on the impact of products we install, for example the energy consumption of a requested product and if required, identify if there is an alternative product that consumes less power. Likewise, if we believe equipment doesn’t need replacing and can be used for many years to come – we will advise this, as the environmental impact of needlessly replacing equipment can be large.
